METAKUBON = 888
SCHEMA OF THE NUMBERS OF JESUS.
The Schema represents by a series of points the symmetric aspect of a Cube in flat projection.
Each point represents one of the Sixty-four constituent Cubes in a cube of 4 × 4 × 4,
and of these lesser cubes there are visible Thirty-seven, and never more than Thirty-seven
can be seen at any one time. The whole 64 stand for the absolute Truth -
ALHQEIA = 64 - and the 37 thus symbolise Revealed Truth,
of which the Holy Names founded upon this number are types.
Of these Names the chief one is IHSOUS (Jesus) = 888 or 37 × 24, and this value may be taken as the total value in the enumeration of the figure counting each point as 24. The hidden or back part of the cube shews upon its surface a further 19 cubes, making a total of 39 + 19 or 56 for the surface cubes. Multiply, as before, by 24, and 19 × 24 gives 456 the number of MHTHR (the Mother), and the same number is found by counting only the points within the outer ring of the Schema. From the central One are first generated the Seven (first ring and centre): next a ring of Twelve, making with the centre Thirteen, and all together make the 19.
And from the 19 are formed the 37, or as we may now interpret the figure, from the 456 MHTHR proceed the 888 IHSOUS. And we may follow out the imagery of number and form in its gradual development for the unfolding of the doctrinal teaching of the Gematria step by step as here indicated.
1st Ring . . | 6 × 24 = 144 | ABRAM (Abram). Father of Israel. ¢H EKLOGH. The Choice or Election. Ep. Rom. xi. 7, etc. (The 144 or 12 × 12 are a figure of Israel, the Chosen Seed.)
1st Ring and Centre . . | 7 × 24 = 168 | EPAGGELMA. The Promise. II. Pet. iii. 13.
2nd Ring and Centre . . | 13 × 24 = 312 | AGGELOS. The Angel.
3rd Ring . . | 18 × 24 = 432 | KATABOLH. Conception. Heb. xi. II.
3rd Ring and Centre . . | 19 × 24 = 456 | MHTHR. The Mother. (The 1st and 2nd Rings give the same number.)
1st and 3rd Rings . . | 24 × 24 = 576 | PNEUMA. The Spirit - by Whom was the Incarnation. PASA EKKLHSIA. PARAQHKH ISRAHL. AGGELOS ALHQEIAS 1st and 3rd Rings and Centre . |
| 25 × 24 = 600 |
| ¢H QEOTHS. The Godhead - Divine counterpart of kosmoV. | |
2nd and 3rd Rings . . . | 30 × 24 = 720 | QEION PNEUMA. ¢O ¢AGIOS ANEMOS. ¢H MHTHR ALHQHS. MHTHR ALHQEIAS. TOPOS. Abode of Deity. NOUS. The Divine Intelligence. ENAIDIOS OIKOS. ¢IEREUS. The Priest (of the Temple of Truth.) ¢IERON IEOU.
2nd and 3rd Rings and Centre . | 31 × 24 = 744 | QEOTOKOS. The Virgin Mother MHTHR NIKHS. MARIAM MHTHR× ¢H NIKH. MARIAM ¢H NIKH PARQENIAS. ¢H AEIPARQENOS ALHQEIAS. MARIA QEOTHS. MARIA ¢AGIOTHS. |
N.B. - QeothV is an androgynous word in Gematria and the QeotokoV 744 is the union of the two principles
parqenoV = | 515 | |
o anhr = | 229 | |
744 |
recalling the ¢H ¢Ermaqhnh parqenoV of the older Greeks. She appears to correspond to ¢H Mhthr Semelh, spouse of ZeuV, who gives birth to DionusoV, whose name is a clever anagram of NOUS DIOS - the Mind of Zeus. The whole conception is one of a pure principle of intelligence in its operation in virgin substance.
1st, 2nd and 3rd Rings . . . | 36 × 24 = 864 | KURIOS DEMEI. The Lord builds His Tabernacle, which is |
OIKOS EKKLHSIAS, figured as ¢IEROUSALHM - The Holy City. ¢H POLIS APEIROS. KOSMOS ALHQEIAS. ¢O NAOS AQANASIAS. The Temple of Immortality and of the Resurrection of the Spiritual Body. AQANASIA SARKOS.
Whole figure of the Metacube | 37 × 24 = 888 | IHSOUS. LOGOS ESTI. PARQENOS LOGOS. ¢O OIKODOMOS ALHQEIAS. ALHQEUOMENOS. NIKH KOSMOU. KURIOS NIKH. |
The constitution of the Schema shews Six lines radiating from the centre. Each of these lines consists of three points and is emblematic of Truth since
3 × 24 = 72 | ¢H ALHQEIA. Truth. |
United with the central point, they become Four, signifying the all-prevailing power of Truth since
4 × 24 = 96 | ¢H NIKH. Victory. (I. Esdras iii. 12.) |
Three of these lines yield 24 × 9 or 216 - the cube of Six, in Gematria
24 × 9 = 216 | = 152 + 64. MARIA + ALHQEIA. |
Together with the central unit this is raised to
10 × 24 = 240 | MARIAMMH. The Gnostic equivalent of Mariam, who represents the Universal Truth. ¢H KAQOLIKH ALHQEIA. |
Four of these radii give, with the centre, the 312 of AGGELOS and five shew
15 × 24 = 360 | ¢H NIKH ALHQEIAS. |
which, when combined with the central 24, gives 15 × 24 = 384, the number of the PANALHQES, or Absolutely True.
The Schema will be seen to contain the outline of a Cross whose arms stretch from point to point horizontally. The number of this Cross is
11 × 24 = 264 | ALHQEIAS - the number ‘of Truth’. ¢H PARQENIA. Virginity. = 192 + 72 (MARIAM + ¢H ALHQEIA). |
So far the Gematria of our figure has been drawn only from the flat or two-dimensional projection of the Cube. There remain other measures. First let us consider the whole surface.
This is 37 + 19 (or 56) × 24 = 1344 | ¢ODOS KURIOU - The Way of the Lord. ¢O OURANIOS LOGOS. TO ¢AGION PNEUMA ALHQEIAS. MARIAM ¢H MHTHR IHSOU. |
Within this hollow cube is the lesser cube of 2 × 2 × 2, giving
8 × 24 = 192 | MARIAM. Mother of Jesus. |
And if we take the cube of 3 × 3 × 3, which we get by adding the 19 points to the 8, we have
27 × 24 = 648 | MARIAM MHTHR. DOMOS ALHQEIAS. ¢H ALHQEIA× PNEUMA. ALHQEIA× ¢H PARAQHKH ISRAHL. ¢H PANAGIA EKKLHSIAS. ¢H PANAGAQIA QEOU. ¢HREMIA QEOU. ¢H BASILEIA EIRHNHS. |
And lastly, the solid content of the whole cube 4 × 4 × 4 is 64, so that
64 × 24 = 1536 | the final number being that of ¢H GEWMETRIA ALHQEIAS. ¢H KALH SOFIA IHSOU. A× TO MESON× W. (See Appendix F.) |
